TAMOHA is one of the registered Non Governmental Organization under the name and style of TAMOHA functioning in various parts of India. TAMOHA is a National Character Registered Society from Govt. of NCT of Delhi under Society registration Act XXI of 1860 and FCR Act from Govt. of India and 12 A & 80G under Section of the Income tax Act 1961.This Foundation has been started with a view to deliver superior community development programs and projects to underprivileged. “TAMOHA is one of the leading humanitarian organizations fighting for the action oriented improvisation of quality standards of our nation, by implementing different programs with newer techniques and realistic approach.”

In the developed world, social work attains its maturity. Our sincere sympathies go to the Jurassic age. These intelligent creations could not cope with cataclysmic change and were thus wiped out from the face of earth, being intelligent, dynamic and bright is not enough. So it is the basic concern of the organization that one must also be capable of capping with challenges.
It was founded in 2002 by a group of social activists, who felt the need to have a registered institution that could provide support and technical assistance to the volunteers working for the unprivileged section of the country.
Our Organization would act as an organization that could make possible a better quality of life for Indian citizens, and ensure good health and protection from exploitation to the people of the country.
The VISION of TAMOHA is LIGHTEN TO INLIGHTEN by creating the society free from discrimination, poverty, illiteracy, exploitation, gender inequality, child labor, and diseases.
The MISSION of TAMOHA is to prepare the society so as to face the new changes in the world by the efforts of professionals who have gained processional knowledge in social work and who can face challenges. That had arisen because of globalization and super industrialization. It will work in promoting social development by carrying out scientific research and disseminating relevant information via latest communication channels.
The earlier decades saw the emergence of social work interventions based on human values. Our organization guaranties to act as the voice for undeveloped sections of the society where the new egalitarian concept exists. We also wish to find new channels and space for vision based new innovation. Our working strategies indicate TAMOHA’s quality of achievement strong mass base, transparency, dedication and commitment of the members & the staff. This is the time to express the words of thanks to all our donor agencies, individuals, departments, of state and central governments, different banks, like minded organizations and our colleagues who have given their support and effort for the achievement in the previous years and to the milestone for the future endeavors.

TAMOHA aims to leverage Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Media for empowering and transforming the lives of the underserved and underprivileged. TAMOHA believes that ICT helps the underserved population access information, services, and opportunities which provide increased awareness and enable them to realize their potential.
TAMOHA is working in the different fields of social development from very beginning. It has good experience in implementation of various program. We are going to implement and achieve the maximum result with our best and benevolent effort in the target area. The organization has adequate human resources of requisite standard to handle projects on Women & Child Development issue. Besides our regular employee, the organization has a panel of experts from different discipline who provide guidelines & suggestions time to time in designing the project as well as execution of the same. Chief functionaries also look after the all progressive project running by Society.
The organization will work keeping in view that there is no proper access of basic/academic and technical education facility in the community. Govt. schools are far from their places small children are unable to approach school in the same manner there is no adequate technical education facility available in working area. The existing government primary schools and other technical centers are not in a position to accommodate all the children and women together. At present the organization is running various activities in Remote & marginalized area of Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan & Delhi. It has shown significant achievement in the area of Community welfare in Education, Health, Environment, Art & Craft, Livelihood development, Economic Empowerment.
In present scenario organization is working for the women in various sectors like legal Awareness, Advocacy, Vocational Courses, Non-formal Education, Art & Handicraft training, Food & Nutrition training & Income Generation Program through SHGs. “To accomplish great things we must not only dream, but also act, not only plan, but also implement”. And perhaps, true to this ethique the approach will help us to retrospect and reaffirm our stated goal, focusing on the ideas and thoughts and has made “TAMOHA grow up and stand as a unique foundation” oasis of development in the working areas.
